Lusby is an area where there is still lot's of open space. Most of the homes are concentrated in subdivisions on the Chesapeake Bay,

Mill Creek, Helen's Creek, Hungerford Creek or the Patuxent River. This leaves many acres of land that are still farmed or otherwise restricted

from growth.

 

Within the past five years, we've seen expansion beyond what anyone could have imagined. Small strip centers have been built that have

added many restaurants and conveniences to Lusby residents.

We even have a Hilton Garden Hotel! The hotel, I might add, is on a parcel of land once owned by my Mom's family.

 

Lusby is a convenient commute to Patuxent River Naval Station. With the base expansion through the years, we have enjoyed many military

families moving to our area. Most of our communities offer housing that is affordable and this also contributes to our popularity.
